This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to identify, apply and follow the chain of responsibility legislation, regulations, and workplace procedures to identify, apply and track CoR legislation, regulations and workplace procedures about heavy vehicles as they apply to an individual’s job role.

Under CoR laws, if you are named as a party in the chain of responsibility, and you exercise (or have the capability of exercising) control or influence over any transport task, you must comply with the HVNL.
The course can be completed by anyone wanting to understand the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) as it applies to the freight forwarding & supply chain industry and gain accreditation in a nationally recognised unit of competency. All staff can complete the course at all levels as CoR regulations apply to all.

Online – The course is self-paced and includes knowledge checks and multiple-choice questions.
10-20 hours (approx.) depending on your industry experience level and current CoR knowledge.
Ability to read, write, comprehend English text, and complete basic mathematical calculations to at least the Australian year 10 schooling level or equivalent.
After successful completion, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for these units. After completing this course, you will understand and appreciate your legal obligations when applying CoR in the workplace and have the confidence and skills to apply safe transport-related activities.
